Amazon Continuing to Invest in Cyber Security and AI Technologies
Amazon recently had its Re:Invent Conference dropping tons of new services, updates and applications to the industry. Some highlights:
- Rekognition: It’s innovative Artificial Intelligence service that scans for people in images and videos.
- Guardduty: A managed threat detection service to continually monitor for unauthorized environment activity.
- Secret Region: Amazon claims they are now the only provider that can go all the way from Unclassified to Top Secret in their new Secret Region. This new region is specifically designed for the purpose of allowing users to store and protect data from hackers and other forms of disruptions.

Cloud Computing Chaos Ranks as Top Predictions in Cyber Security for 2018
As organizations move in full speed with cloud computing and deploying cloud-based technologies, security threats are on the rise at an equally alarming rate. A recent article published by ESG/ISSA reports 29% of organizations have an acute shortage of cloud security skills.
To alleviate the risk, companies will have to up their game in 2018 and work in step with security providers to build architecture to combat the threats.
